Even the best sugar paste maintains its optimal consistency only when it is used and stored correctly. A few simple rules will help keep your paste smooth, hygienic, and ready to use for longer.
1. Do not overheat the sugar paste
Depending on the paste density, room temperature, and application technique, sugar paste can be used directly at room temperature or gently warmed.
If you warm the paste, do so slowly and evenly. A temperature of around 35–40 °C is usually sufficient. Always test the temperature on a small area of skin before use.
Overheated sugar paste becomes very soft, may turn sticky more quickly, and can be harder to work with.
2. Use only clean, dry tools
Remove sugar paste from the jar only with a clean, dry spatula or a freshly gloved, clean hand.
Make sure that no water or other contaminants enter the jar. Sugar paste that has already been used should never be placed back into it.
3. Do not leave the jar open
Talc is often used during sugaring. Its fine particles can enter an open jar, contaminate the paste, and contribute to crystallization over time.
For this reason, keep the jar open only for as long as necessary.
4. Close the lid immediately
Take only the amount of paste you need for the treatment, then close the jar carefully straight away.
This protects the sugar paste from moisture, dust, talc particles, and other contaminants.
5. Store sugar paste correctly
Store the sugar paste tightly closed in a dry place at room temperature. Keep it away from direct sunlight, radiators, and other heat sources.
Refrigeration is not necessary. If the paste has been stored in a cool place, allow the closed jar to reach room temperature before opening it. This helps prevent condensation from forming inside.
Conclusion
With the right temperature, clean tools, and proper storage, your Lamalior sugar paste will remain in optimal condition until the last use – for consistently comfortable application and reliable results. 💛
